About Hong Kong Restaurant

Hong Kong Restaurant is a chinese restaurant in Arlington Heights, Illinois. It is listed at 1543 W Campbell St, Arlington Heights, IL 60005, which places it among the local businesses of Arlington Heights that residents and visitors turn to when they need this kind of service close by.

In cities with a Chinatown, weekend mornings bring dim sum carts or order sheets, and lines form early at the most popular spots in Arlington Heights; walk-ins are standard and reservations are uncommon outside large banquet restaurants. Regional labels matter: Cantonese, Sichuan, Hunan, Shanghainese and Taiwanese kitchens cook very differently, so a restaurant's stated region is a better guide to the food than the word "Chinese" alone. Some smaller restaurants in Illinois are BYOB with no corkage fee; call ahead to confirm. A tip of 15-20% is customary for table service but not expected at counter-order takeout. Spice level, MSG and allergen questions are normal to ask before ordering, and most kitchens are happy to leave an ingredient out or tone down the heat if you mention it when ordering rather than after the food arrives.

The business lists hours on 6 days of the week. Typical hours are 12–8 pm. It is closed on Monday. As with most places, expect changes around holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. The listed phone number is (847) 797-1866. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone.

On Google it holds a rating of 4.6 out of 5 from 128 reviews, which is a strong result for a chinese restaurant in Arlington Heights and suggests consistent service.

Arlington Heights is in Illinois, in the Midwest, where summers are warm, winters are cold and snowy, and most errands are done by car; businesses keep steady year-round hours with the usual holiday changes. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Arlington Heights follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

Always outstanding! A long time Arlington Heights fixture! Real food by a very nice family. Highly recommended. You won’t ever have a better egg roll or wonton soup.

We were in downtown Arlington Heights, looking for a Chinese restaurant to eat. Bistro Chen was closed until 4pm. And we could not wait. We found Hong Kong, 4 minutes away- by car of course (we are AMERICAN! Btw, we were really European, came here for FIFA WORLD CUP 2026, and now wanted to live like AmericanπŸ€—πŸ€—πŸ€—). We ordered RAINBOW LO MEIN 🌈🌈🌈. The portion is HUGE, enough for 2 starving adults. And it is so very delicious. We enjoy the soft Lo Mein, cooked to perfection... The beef, Chicken, Shrimp, oh, the big, so juicy SHRIMP 🦐🦐🦐 .. are all terrific, equal or even better than Chef Ping in nearby Rolling MeadowsπŸ˜‹πŸ˜‹πŸ˜‹And that's enough said πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘The 3 staff are friendly, so welcoming. TY so very much for the great food, the warm welcomingπŸ™πŸ™πŸ™

We have found our new Chinese spot. Somehow since moving to the area we hadn’t yet tried this local reliable purveyor of classics from the Far East. But now? Now we’ll never have to think again when we want Chinese. They NAILED everything. We got several different dishes and an appetizer sampler of sorts. Everything was right on the money. This is Chinese food that tastes the way I remembered it tasting as a kid. It hit all the important standard/expected notes, while also delivering a level of soul that took my wife and I by surprise. To make a standard dish like Orange Chicken feel new and special was a feat I previously thought impossible. But the dimensions of the sauce and attention given to each piece of chicken… I can’t even describe it. Just get it. If you’re skeptical just go in there and grab an orange chicken. It will knock your proverbial socks off. To maintain a crackling crispy piece of chicken that is ALSO swimming in the immaculately concocted sauce is the type of steez that demonstrates exactly why this restaurant is an institution that has satisfied that Chinese craving in the area for almost 35 years. A spot like this doesn’t stick around by not hitting the ma

I went here recently for the first time. We got two lunch specials and soup. My husband got the lo mein, which was great. They use the thin lo mein noodles, which I think are better. The lunch also came with a tasty egg roll. I got the Kung pao chicken. Plenty of chicken, veggies and peanuts. He got egg drop soup. They make their egg drop soup with chicken in it. I would like that if I liked egg drop soup, but my husband said he could have done without it. I thought it was a nice option to have included. I had the wonton soup. It took extra time because I was told they make it fresh, which got my attention. Along with the meat filled wontons, the soup also had slices of pork, I think there may have been chicken in there too. There was also cabbage and carrots. I liked it a lot. All of the food was good. The lady who helped me was very polite and thanked me more than once for coming in. The inside is small but it's done cute and it all looked very clean and orderly, which I appreciated. We'll be back.

I am a very picky eater and they are always great about my special requests. The food is great and they are very quick to get your order out. Everything always comes out so hot too. Love them! Update from 12-8-20 These guys are still delivering such a great product. Hadn't been there for a while since our office moved and they are so good. So much food with their lunch special too! Update from 9-24-25 Still rocking it with amazing sauces and the BEST eggrolls in the Northwest suburbs. Loaded with pork and shrimp in a tasty wrap (not rice paper). You have to get them. Love their Kung Pow!
